AI Auto Glass guarantees its fitting against water leaks, wind noise, bonding failure and workmanship. If any of those show up after we have replaced your glass, call us and we will come back and put it right.
Water leaks
Damp footwells, headlining or boot after rain. Almost always a preparation problem, and ours to fix.
Wind noise
Noise at speed that was not there before, from a screen sitting proud or a moulding not seated.
Bonding failure
The serious one. Your windscreen is structural, and the bond is what makes it structural.
Workmanship
Trim damage, scratched paint, glass left in the vehicle, sensors not reconnected properly.
Why these four?
Because they are the failures you cannot see on the day. You drive away, the glass looks right, and the problem appears three weeks later on the motorway or after the first heavy rain.
That is the whole difficulty with judging a glass job. The visible part is easy. The part that decides whether it holds happened while the aperture was being prepared, and you were not watching.
What is not covered?
Fresh stone damage. A new chip a week later is new damage, not a fitting failure, and no glazier anywhere covers that.
Pre-existing corrosion around the screen aperture is also outside it. If the metal under the old glass was already rusted, that is bodywork and it needs proper repair before glass goes back in. We will show you if we find it.
What if the damage was caused by something I did?
Slamming doors in the first day, jet washing the new screen, or removing retention tape early can all affect a bond that has not reached full strength.
We will tell you what to avoid before we leave. If something goes wrong and the cause is genuinely unclear, we would rather come out and look than argue about it over the phone.
The guarantee applies across every pane we replace, windscreens and side glass alike.
How to raise a problem
Call and describe what the vehicle is doing and when it started. Wind noise at a particular speed, damp in a particular footwell, a rain sensor that stopped reacting. The specifics help.
Do not wait it out. A small leak turns into damp carpet, then mould, then electrics, and the cost climbs the whole way.
